The number of live births recorded in the first quarter of 2024 amounted to 3632, which is a drop of 0.7% compared to Q1 2023. The number of deaths in the first quarter of 2024 decreased by 0.6% compared to the same quarter of 2023 and it amounted to 5199, shows data published by the State Statistics Office (SSO).
In the first quarter of 2024, 2488 marriages were concluded, which is an increase of 3.8 percent compared to the same period of 2023. In this quarter, 597 reports of divorced marriages were submitted.
