The electricity price in the country will go up. The decision was made yesterday afternoon at a closed government session. The outgoing government decided that the state-owned power plants will sell the produced electricity at a higher price to the universal supplier, TV24 reports.

The current price for the time being is 57 euros per megawatt hour, and according to TV24, the price of ESM at which it will be sold to the universal supplier will be several euros higher than the previous one. This means that the reduced margin offered when previously given by EVN will not affect to reduce the price for households and small consumers.
