Due to the announced heatwave, the Red Cross of the city of Skopje informs that it has prepared an action plan that includes field activities in the direction of dealing with heatwaves.
According to the experiences of previous years, mobile teams consisting of a doctor or paramedic will patrol the city of Skopje, distribute water, flyers with advice, measure the pressure of citizens who complain about complaints, and for more severe cases, it will be provided transport to the nearest medical facility or to the person’s home, reads the press release.
For the activities in the coming period, as announced, 20 volunteers from the Disaster Response Team will be hired, and six vehicles will patrol the city.
