Police officers with the Skopje Police Department on Saturday acted according to a plan to suppress begging in the area of Centar and Bit Pazar, and a total of 11 people were found, nine of whom were detained for committing an offense under Article 24 of the ZPPJRM (begging), and two were detained at the police station due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of committing the crime of child neglect and abuse according to Art. 201 of the Criminal Code of the RNM.
After the case is fully documented, an appropriate report will be submitted to the PPO.
