Respect for law is crucial to ensure citizens trust institutions, which is why I think it’s important to pay special attention to resolving these types of cases, British Ambassador to North Macedonia Rachel Galloway told reporters on Wednesday when asked whether the Sasho Mijalkov case has demonstrated institutional weakness, or as Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said, the system showed ability to deal with incidents.
Ambassador Galloway stressed during a visit to Shtip that Britain will continue to support North Macedonia’s justice sector.
“We’ll resume activities and prove to citizens that justice can prevail and all cases can be resolved. I think laws and reforms are good, but we have to see how they’ll be implemented,” Galloway said.
