Zhernovski was vague about the answer, but still did not fully understand the meaning of this international organization, which is a political and military alliance formed for collective defense.
NATO is an acronym for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The question was suggested by a viewer of the show, who claimed that 90 percent of politicians do not know what the acronym NATO stands for. He was partly right, because Zhernovski’s answer was “North Atlantic Organization”.
