The Public Revenue Office (PRO) has announced intensified activities aimed at entities that perform activities and carry out turnover without equipment for registered fiscal system.
According to the official records of the PRO, in the activities of wholesale and retail trade, activities for preparing meals and serving food, legal and accounting activities, travel agencies and tour operators, where the turnover of goods and services to end buyers with cash payments is predominantly carried out, 6,451 taxpayers are business active and have employees, and do not have a registered fiscal system of equipment for registering cash payments at all.
Of these, 3,115 entities are also registered for VAT purposes, which additionally indicates that they are carrying out regular business activity. The activities and controls in the first phase will be aimed precisely at these active entities, says the PRO.
Additionally, the PRO has discovered another 13,966 taxpayers in these activities without registered fiscal devices, for whom it will conduct field checks, cross-checking of data and other control mechanisms, in order to determine whether they are actually carrying out business activities without reporting turnover and without calculating and paying taxes.
