In an interview with the “Panorama” show on the Bulgarian National Television, Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Kiril Petkov also referred to the dispute with Macedonia.
Asked if there was a concession in the position of Bulgaria regarding Macedonia, Petkov said that that was not the case.
“What I have made very clear as a mandate in the next steps with the Republic of Macedonia is that we will upgrade the Bulgarian position with additional working groups on economy, infrastructure, culture, measures and policies for entry and assistance. North Macedonia’s capacity – how to succeed in taking the step towards EU accession. Which means we are setting a deadline of 6 months and I have clearly stated this deadline”, said the Bulgarian Prime Minister.
