Macedonian Radio Television, after the incident that occurred during the official opening ceremony of “Eurovision 2022”, when Macedonian representative Andrea Koevska threw the Macedonian flag on the turquoise carpet and after the initial announcement that was published after the reactions of the public, detailed considered all aspects of the possible withdrawal of our representative from Eurovision, said the Macedonian Radio and Television.
Such a step at a time when all deadlines for withdrawal have expired would cause great financial damage and other sanctions that are not to be neglected. Namely, the cancellation would jeopardize the participation and deviation of the television rights in all other events that the Public Service Broadcaster receives as a member of the European Broadcasting Network.
