The Macedonian Radio and Television Program Council informs that, following a procedure conducted in accordance with the Law on Audio and Audiovisual Media Services and the applicable by-laws, Zoran Ristoski has been elected as director of the national broadcaster MRT.
“A total of six submitted nominations were reviewed in the procedure. The selection was made based on the quality of the proposed work programs, with voting taking place on the principle of anonymity – the programs were submitted under a code, without insight into the identity of the candidates. After determining the best rated program, the envelope with the candidate’s identity was opened, after which a check was carried out on the fulfillment of the legal requirements and the completeness of the submitted documentation,” reads the press release.
In this regard, the Program Council points out that it is based exclusively on the quality of the offered program and the fulfillment of the legal criteria.
