Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, via an announcement on social media on Saturday, denied the lies and speculations regarding the French proposal to overcome Bulgaria’s veto on European integration in Macedonia, and announced that the Macedonian language will be the official language of the European Union without any footnotes or additions.
“There have been many lies and speculations related to the French proposal. I want to be crystal clear: the Macedonian language is absolutely pure and equal to all other languages in Europe with this proposal. The Macedonian language will be the official language of the European Union. There are no footnotes and additions, these are lies,” assures Kovachevski.
The PM claims that his Government’s strategy and passion “yielded results, we have a new proposal that protects our strategic and national interests”.
