Starting Thursday, pasta should be sold in markets with reduced prices by 15 percent, and some dairy products by 10 percent. The Ministry of Economy is still analyzing whether to extend the government’s list of frozen prices to include eggs, sugar and rice. The possibility of price reduction with vegetables and fruits is not excluded.
According to the Government’s decisions, as of Thursday the prices of macaroni and spaghetti in markets will be lower by 15 percent, and of dairy products (cow’s milk 2.8 percent, 3.2 percent, 3.5 percent, yogurt, sour milk, cream, cow’s and mixed white cheese and cow’s cheese) by 10 percent. If the prices are illogical even after May 31, as the Macedonian Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi said, another price freeze will follow.
