New measures will certainly follow, there can be no profiteering in times of crisis, Macedonian Prime Minister DimitarKovachevski said when asked by the media on increased prices of some basic products.
Measures will probably be taken in the area of trade margins and in the area of differences between production and sales prices, Kovachevski told reporters at Thursday’s opening of a new kindergarten in Karposh Municipality, whose construction was financially supported by the World Bank.
“We are monitoring the prices, we have already discussed with the economic ministers about future measures that will be taken, first in the area of trade margins and in the area of the difference in prices from the producers to the final price. New measures will certainly follow, because there can be no profiteering in times of crisis,” said the prime minister.
According to Kovachevski, there is a crisis in the supply of the dairy industry, and there is a shortage in some regions of the world due to the war in Ukraine.
