In order to further strengthen the knowledge and capacities of administrative officials in this area, the Ministry of Public Administration and the EU Support for the Rule of Law project, funded by the European Union, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on Monday and promoted the new online e-learning tool for human rights.

Macedonian Minister of Public Administration GoranMinchev, Ambassador of the European Union MichalisRokas, as well as Barbara Ligl, leader of Component 4 within the project, addressed the event.

In his address, Minister Minchev said that the quality of public administration is not assessed only according to the regulations it applies, but also according to the trust it creates among citizens.

The event also highlighted the importance of continuous monitoring and implementation of the recommendations of national and international mechanisms for the protection of human rights, as well as the need for their more efficient integration into the work of the public sector.

The promoted tool will be available through the e-learning system of the Ministry of Public Administration LMS and is part of the broader activities to modernize public administration and strengthen professional standards in the public sector.

This initiative is in line with the objectives of the Public Administration Reform Strategy 2023–2030 and confirms the commitment to building institutions that work professionally, transparently and in the service of citizens, with respect for human rights being an integral part of their functioning.
