The Macedonian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management informs that a payment of MKD 2,028,714,243 has been made to 15,144 tobacco producers.
As announced by the Ministry, these are direct payments for produced and sold tobacco from the 2025 harvest.
The relevant ministry points out that this record payment represents strong support for tobacco producers, as well as recognition for their work and contribution to agricultural production.
Tobacco, as stated, remains one of the strategic agricultural crops in the country, with a significant role in the Macedonian economy and the livelihood of many families.
The Ministry announces that in the coming period it will continue to create and implement measures aimed at sustainable development of agriculture and support for agricultural producers.
