Twice as many students enrolled in vocational schools than in high schools

In the first registration of students for enrollment in secondary schools for the 2026/2027 academic year, conducted via electronic application from June 12 to 15, 2026, 15,075 students applied, of which 13,397 students enrolled.
As the Ministry of Education and Science announced on Friday, 9,813 students are enrolled for classes in Macedonian, 3,357 students for classes in Albanian, 213 for classes in Turkish and 14 students for classes in Serbian.

According to the type of education, in the first registration, 3010 students were enrolled in high school education for instruction in Macedonian, 1165 students in high school education for instruction in Albanian, 89 students in high school education for instruction in Turkish and 14 students in high school education for instruction in Serbian.
In vocational education for instruction in Macedonian, in the first registration in June, 6653 students were enrolled, 2133 students for Albanian, and 124 students for Turkish.

One hundred and fifty students enrolled in art education (music) for instruction in Macedonian, 59 students in art education (music) for instruction in Albanian.

The second registration of students will be electronic on June 23.
