The Secretary General of the Alliance for Albanians, Arben Taravari and Bujar Osmani from DUI, demand that the leadership meetings between the political parties continue in order to reach a consensus on setting a date for the parliamentary elections.

We need to find flexibility because it is very important for us that all parties participate in the elections. It should not happen to us that a party stays out of the elections, in two or three weeks a difference that cannot be achieved, said Taravari, adding that in this whole process SDSM should show much greater flexibility, and not to concrete on 21 June as the only date for the election.

Deputy Prime Minister of European Affairs Bujar Osmani stressed that in addition to reaching a consensus on an election date, we should also wait for the situation with the corona virus pandemic to stabilize, as there are still people dying as a result of the Covid-19 virus.

“We want to reach a consensus. I think that the leadership meetings should be continued in order to reach a compromise. There is nothing tragic in having differences of opinion, but that should not be the reason for a new political crisis at a time when people are still dying,” Osmani said.
