Macedonian passport ranks 41st in 2026 Henley Passport Index

At the top of the list this year again is Singapore, whose citizens can travel to 192 countries without a visa

In the latest list of the most powerful passports in the world, according to the Henley Passport Index Q2, the Macedonian passport ranked 41st out of 199 countries included in the ranking.

The Macedonian passport is rated on the basis of its visa-free access to 127 countries around the world. The index is based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), and the key criterion is the number of countries available to citizens of a country without a visa.

At the top of the list this year again is Singapore, whose citizens can travel to 192 countries without a visa.

Second place is shared by Japan, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates, with access to 188 countries without a visa. Sweden is in third place with 187 countries.

Fourth place is shared by Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway and Spain, whose citizens can travel to 186 countries without a visa.

Austria, Greece, Malta, Portugal and Switzerland were ranked fifth with visa-free travel to 185 countries.

In the region, Slovenia takes the seventh place with visa-free travel to 183 countries, Croatia is in eighth place with 182 countries, while Montenegro is in 41st place with access to 127 countries without a visa. Bosnia and Herzegovina is also in 41st place, but with 122 countries available without a visa. Serbia is in 34th place.
