The National One-Stop-Shop (NOSS) system is one of the most significant projects in the digitalization and modernization of procedures for the import, export and transit of goods. Its goal is to provide a single electronic platform allowing companies to swiftly and efficiently carry out legal procedures related to foreign trade, Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport AleksandarNikoloski said at a session of the NOSS Steering Committee on Tuesday.

According to the agreement, the selected consortium has the duty to operationalize the system and put it into operation by the end of 2027. This software implies that in the future all import, export and transit permits, as well as payments, will be processed electronically at a single platform.

The aim of the reform is to facilitate trade by streamlining the application and issuance processes, achieving data exchange between all institutions at the national level, better cooperation, and coordinated activities within this system.

Macedonia is part of the project to facilitate transport and trade in the Western Balkan countries, where one of the components is the implementation of this National One-Stop-Shop, which implies the complete replacement of the current system for managing permits for import, export and transit of goods with a new system, according to the Macedonian Ministry of Transport.
