It will be known in at least a week how many companies submitted bids for the renewed tender for buses, Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications Aleksandar Nikoloski told reporters on Tuesday.
He informed that the bids are being evaluated and he expects the report to be available in a week.
“The renewed tender ended on Monday and is now in the evaluation process. I have not received the report yet. Keep in mind that there is an evaluation committee composed of experts from the Ministry of Transport, but also from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. When I receive the report, I will share it with the public. I hope that it will be somewhere in seven days,” said Nikoloski.
The renewed procedure follows the cancellation of the previous tender for the purchase of 150 electric buses and 75 charging stations.
Of the total number of buses, 100 are planned for Skopje, and the remaining 50 for other cities in the country.
