Construction work continues with strong momentum on the completion of the Boris Trajkovski Boulevard, one of the most significant infrastructure projects in Skopje, which for more than three decades was a symbol of unfulfilled promises, traffic jams and everyday traffic issues.
The works are progressing according to the planned dynamics, and upon their completion, more than 100,000 residents will receive a modern and safe boulevard with four traffic lanes, pedestrian paths and bicycle infrastructure, which will significantly improve the safety and flow of traffic.
“As part of the project, the route has been almost completely broken through, while in parallel the construction of a new storm sewer is being implemented, which will permanently overcome the long-standing problems with drainage in this part of the city. The implementation of this capital project represents a concrete step towards improving the quality of life of citizens, reducing traffic congestion and creating a modern and functional traffic infrastructure,” the City of Skopje said in a press release.
After many years of waiting, the Boris Trajkovski Boulevard is finally getting a solution, thus fulfilling one of the most important infrastructural expectations of the residents of this part of Skopje.
