According to unofficial information obtained by the Netpress news agency, the report of the Public Health Institute (PHI) shows that out of the four tested water samples, fecal coliform bacteria were found in two, and an increased presence of chlorine was determined in one sample.
If these findings are confirmed, they raise serious questions about the way the water supply system in Gostivar was managed under the jurisdiction of the municipality.
According to the obtained information, one of the directions that the competent institutions are investigating is the possibility that fecal pollution entered the water supply network, after which additional chlorination of the water was carried out.
The PHI report has been submitted to the prosecution, which is on the move.
