The VLEN coalition has made a series of accusations against Arben Taravari, claiming that his current statements contradict the promises he made while he was at the head of the Municipality of Gostivar.
The ruling VLEN points out that Taravari in the past accused the then-government of negligence and issues with the water supply, while today, according to the party, Taravari claims to have solved the water issue in Gostivar “for the next 100 years”.
The coalition stresses that the announced two large water reservoirs, which were promised in 2022 with financial support from Switzerland, have not been realized either.
“Where did 7 million euros in aid from Switzerland disappear?” VLEN asks, adding that citizens deserve full transparency and accountability.
In the press release, VLEN assesses that citizens do not need excuses, but safe drinking water and institutions that will function efficiently.
VLEN demands full accountability from all officials who, in their opinion, failed to protect public health and insists that the whole truth about the case be fully clarified. VLEN adds that Arben Taravari should provide answers to the citizens with the same standards that, as the party says, he previously demanded from his political opponents.
