Interim Prime Minister Oliver Spasovski announced on Friday that he has already given an order to the inspection services to check whether, where and why there is an increase in the prices of domestic products after the introduction of payment cards.
According to Spasovski, the increase in prices in some stores cannot be tied to the payment card because it increases the purchasing power of citizens, and thus domestic consumption.
“There are some reactions from the citizens. I have already instructed the inspection services to check both the retail and the production, to see what it is about – whether to increase the price of raw materials on the basis of which the price of these products increases or something else entirely. We will see what the inspection bodies will say about this phenomenon, which is not massive, but it is present in some stores,” Spasovski said.
