A bus of the Public Transport Company Skopje, which was operating on route number 25 to Vodno, was caught in a fire on Sunday at the Sredno Vodno viewpoint, above the capital.
The Protection and Rescue Directorate (PRD) announced details of the intervention. Two fire trucks and seven firefighters from the Skopje Fire Brigade participated in extinguishing the fire.
Thanks to the driver’s quick and calm reaction, the bus was parked in an appropriate place, which prevented the fire from spreading to the surrounding area and the “Vodno” park-forest.
No one was injured in the incident, and the fire did not spread to the surrounding forest.
The Public Transport Company Skopje informs that the competent services are conducting the necessary checks, after which the exact cause of the fire outbreak should be determined.
