As of 1 p.m. Wednesday, 14 wildfires were registered by the Crisis Management Center (CMC). Five remain active, three are under control, and six have been put out, the CMC said.
One wildfire is spreading from the villages of Morane, Vrtekica and Ramni Gaber in the Municipality of Studenichani toward Paligrad and Vrazhale in the Municipality of Zelenikovo. Other fires are still burning near the villages of Trnovo, Bitovo and Zagrad in the Municipalities of Gostivar and Makedonski Brod; and near the village of Nezhilovo in the Municipality of Chashka.
The fire in the village of Tajmishte in the Municipality of Kichevo is under control as is the fire between Jasen and Breznica in the Municipality of Makedonski Brod. The landfill fires in Kavadarci and Delchevo have also been contained.
