Macedonian Minister of Interior Panche Toshkovski in an interview with Alfa TV Wednesday morning announced that around 300 candidates will be admitted to the Secondary Police School, i.e. all candidates who have successfully passed the planned selections, checks and elimination criteria. Although the admission of 200 students was initially planned, after the analyses and consultations, as well as after securing the necessary financial resources, the Government has decided to admit all candidates who meet the requirements.

“The total number of candidates who have passed the elimination criteria related to education, required grades, behavior, physical and health characteristics is around 300 children. We conducted a detailed analysis of whether we will be able to admit them all, we talked with the Ministry of Finance and the Government has decided that we will be able to admit them all. It would be truly regrettable to miss out on any of those children who have met the requirements,” Toshkovski stressed.

The interior minister expressed satisfaction with the great interest in the re-established Secondary Police School, for which over 600 candidates applied, assessing that the young people have shown a desire to build their professional future in the service of the state and the security of citizens. After 26 years, the school will resume operations on September 1, and the students will resume their education in the third and fourth years.

Minister Toshkovski also notes that all students who successfully complete the Secondary Police School will be part of the Ministry of Interior’s system, in line with the agreement that the Ministry is set to sign with them.
