We have managed to have an annual inflation level below the European Union level for two consecutive months, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Wednesday during a visit to Shtip, asked about how he would assess the inflation level.
“We have managed to have an annual inflation level below the EU level for two months in a row. In July it was 2.3 percent, while in the European Union it was 2.9 percent. In August it was 2.6 percent, and at the European Union level 3.3 percent. Do you remember four years ago, when they convinced us that inflation, which was then in double digits – 16, 17, 18 percent, was imported from the EU? You see that it was possible, when you wanted and when you knew, to do something better,” Mickoski said.
The PM stresses that “we must believe in ourselves, and not believe in”, as he put it, “lies and slander from people who recognize themselves as dregs.”
“I also feel sorry for such people who recognize themselves as dregs, and who still hold press conferences, although no one names them, and cry on an open stage because they recognize themselves as dregs. They should not be trusted,” PM Mickoski added.
