The Macedonian Formula Student team, comprised of young engineers and students, unveiled their new MES Racing race car today at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering amphitheater in Skopje, a vehicle they had worked on with dedication over the past year, said the Macedonian Ministry of Energy, Mining, and Mineral Resources on Monday.
At the event held at the Skopje-based Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the team presented the results of the previous season, their workflow, and the new race car, followed by a demonstration run.
According the Energy Minister Sanja Bozhinovska, such projects serve as the best example that Macedonia possesses young people with the knowledge, ambition, and capacity to create complex engineering solutions and compete on the international stage.
“Macedonia has a future. And its future lies with the youth. Today, we witnessed what happens when knowledge, ideas, courage, and perseverance receive support. This race car is not merely a technical product; it is the result of knowledge, teamwork, dedication, and countless hours of hard work by these young people,” Minister Bozhinovska pointed out.
Of particular significance is the fact that students from various fields are working on the project, applying their knowledge of engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and other disciplines through practical work, while functioning as a genuine engineering team.
