Over the past 24 hours, police officers across the country detained nine drivers for the criminal offense of reckless driving under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code.
Eight of them were driving without having passed the driving test: B.M. (31) and A.P. (21), both from Skopje; S.A. (39) from the village of Strahojadica (Skopje region); N.M. (35) and a 15-year-old, both from Prilep; V.S. (41) from Kichevo; A.Sh. (18) from Tetovo; and a 17-year-old from the village of Brvenica (Tetovo region), who caused a traffic accident resulting in material damage.
I.A. (62) from the village of Dolna Banjica (Gostivar region) was also detained for driving despite a ban on operating a motor vehicle. Appropriate criminal charges will be filed once the cases are fully documented.
