Unofficially, Prilep has been under a heightened police presence since early Wednesday morning. Special units and uniformed police officers have been deployed to the field, and the Ministry of Interior (MoI), through the Public Security Bureau (PSB), is conducting searches at approximately 30 locations.
The operation is coordinated and forms part of a broader investigation targeting a suspected organized crime structure.
According to unofficial information, the investigation is linked to narcotics-related activities; individuals within police ranks are also reportedly under scrutiny due to suspected connections to the persons or activities being investigated.
A large number of police officers, ranging from special units to regular uniformed police, are visible on the ground, and checks are being carried out at multiple locations across the city and the surrounding area. The operation is ongoing.
