VMRO-DPMNE urges PPO to investigate SDSM’s Slavjanka Petrovska

VMRO-DPMNE has called on the Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) to launch an investigation, acting on its own initiative, following accusations made Thursday by SDSM leader Venko Filipche against MP Slavjanka Petrovska regarding alleged criminal activity involving EUR 37 million.

“At yesterday’s press conference, Venko Filipche revealed and confirmed a scandal involving reasonable suspicion of criminal activity. He stated: ‘Slavjanka Petrovska signed a contract for the procurement of helicopters that was 37 million euros more expensive, after the commission had reached a different decision.’ SDSM MP and leader Venko Filipche publicly leveled accusations against fellow SDSM MP and former minister Slavjanka Petrovska. This scandal, brought to light by Filipche himself, cannot be ignored. We are here to assist him and to call upon the Public Prosecutor’s Office, acting on its own initiative, to step in and question Venko Filipche regarding the crime involving Slavjanka, valued at 37 million euros, which he himself alleged,” VMRO-DPMNE spokesperson Valentin Manasievski told a press conference in front of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

The ruling party representative adds that they are urging Filipche not to remain silent but to reveal everything he knows about Petrovska, and they expect the Public Prosecutor’s Office to react immediately and without any delays.

“There must be justice, and it is a good thing that Venko Filipche has started to speak out. We believe he has much more to disclose regarding the criminal activity within the SDSM camp,” Manasievski added.
