Deputy PM Nikoloski: Zaev-Filipche Government negotiated sale of five major Macedonian companies to Bulgaria

The SDSM-led government agreed to everything Bulgaria demanded. They even negotiated the sale of five privately owned Macedonian companies. That is why we are in this position, Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski said Wednesday.

“SDSM accepted everything in 2022 from Bulgaria; they handed the Bulgarians a blank sheet of paper, the Bulgarians wrote down whatever they wanted, and the government signed it. The VMRO-DPMNE-led Government, Hristijan Mickoski’s Government, did not negotiate a package deal to sell a national TV station, a telecom operator, a bank, a mine, and a cable operator to Bulgaria—and I don’t even know how that would work, given that these are private companies. We did not negotiate such things, nor are we doing so now. Bulgaria pursued this because they saw a subservient government on the other side, ready to sell off everything. These were the kinds of deals negotiated by the SDSM-led Government led by Zoran Zaev and Dimitar Kovachevski, a government in which Venko Filipche also served as Minister of Health,” Nikoloski pointed out.

The fundamental difference, as Nikoloski stresses, is that SDSM sold out national interests, which is why the citizens punished them at the polls.
