At least 20-30 fully digitalized services can be expected in 2026, with priority given to registering a newborn and issuing the first birth certificate in less than 48 hours from registration, services in the field of energy and the Health Fund, as well as services for companies, Macedonian Minister of Digital Transformation Stefan Andonovski said Monday.

“I expect to start another project during the spring through the European IPA program, with which we will digitize another larger group of services, which citizens consider the most used. In parallel, we are also working on improving electronic delivery (e-mailbox), and very soon citizens will start using the service terminals, which will be placed in frequent locations, mostly in Skopje,” Andonovski said in an interview with Skopjeinfo.mk.

As a priority for this year, Andonovski points to the launch of the project for the establishment of the Vezilka Artificial Intelligence Center and the construction of a large-scale language model in the Macedonian language, which, according to the minister, will bring systemic progress in the application of artificial intelligence in the public sector.

In the interview, Minister Andonovski notes that today the ministry has over 260,000 users of the National Service Website (compared to only 100 thousand in 2024) and a growth of more than 150 percent in the use of e-services and transactions on the interoperability platform.
