Party pressures led by SDS and DUI dismissed judges in one day. Risto Katevenovski, a former judge of the Supreme Court, claims that he was dismissed because he did not give a positive opinion on a court case at the request of the then SDS and DUI authorities, said VMRO-DPMNE Central Committee member Valentin Manasievski on Saturday.
“At a court hearing, Judge Katevenovski emphasized that he would not give a positive opinion in the case related to the former Minister of Interior Gordana Jankuloska, and that it would be necessary to discuss further action with his colleagues.
However, just one day after this statement by Katevenovski, who says it was made behind closed doors, the Judicial Council convened an emergency session at which he was dismissed.
Katevenovski’s testimony leads to the authorities of the time, and as he says, his dismissal came from SDS and DUI, or in translation from Zoran Zaev and Ali Ahmeti.
The justice and truth that Zaev promised when he came to power turned out to be selective. But what is crucial is that we are once again receiving testimonies about the pressure of SDS and DUI on the judicial authorities. What we have been saying in public for years is now being confirmed. They were the ones who decided who would be arrested and who would be dismissed from a particular case. SDS and DUI involved their parties in the state and its institutions. VMRO-DPMNE will no longer allow this. There must be accountability,” Manasievski pointed out.
