It’s a pleasure to see progress and good results in the construction of the Gostivar-Bukojchani motorway. We have strong dynamics, the state provides timely logistics and funds in the expropriation area, and the strong dynamics will continue in the next period so that by the end of 2029 we can drive on this highway, said Macedonia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski on Saturday.
Together with Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, United States Chargé d’Affaires Nicole Varnes, deputy ministers, MPs, mayors and PE State Roads director Koce Trajanovski, Nikoloski inspected the construction of the Gostivar-Bukojchani motorway.
“We are working quite intensively on this section 2, that is, on the motorway that goes from Gostivar to Bukojchani, which on the other side should be connected to the Gostivar to Tetovo motorway, and on the lower side should be connected to the motorway that will be built from Bukojchani to Kichevo. From there we connect to the motorway to Ohrid and Struga, which is already in progress, so this is the entire road that goes to the western wing of Corridor VIII, a motorway that should connect this entire region, bring great economic benefits, more business and many more tourists,” said Minister Nikoloski.
