Surveillance cameras in Pelister National Park have captured specimens of game that is unfortunately disappearing from Macedonian forests. However, chamois have been spotted on Pelister’s camera traps for the first time in a long time, according to the Pelister National Park.
“After the intensified activities of the ranger service, game in Pelister National Park can be seen more often in its habitats in the active management zone and in the strict protection zone. In the photos from the camera traps, it is easy to see where the game moves, how many animals it has, what its health condition is and how it functions in everyday life as part of the food chain,” the national park said in a press release Friday.
