According to the latest analyses of the European Commission, it is once again confirmed that Macedonia, along with Albania and Montenegro, is recognized as an accession frontrunner in our region in terms of achieved reforms in line with the Reform Agenda, VMRO-DPMNE MP and Executive Committee member Antonio Miloshoski said Friday.

According to the rules of the European Commission’s growth plan, the financial support directed to candidate countries is conditioned by the level of achieved reforms and here Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro are rated with the highest score unlike other candidate countries in the region, adds the ruling party representative.

“This confirmation from the European Commission that Macedonia is implementing the tasks assigned with the Reform Agenda, i.e. that there has been significant progress, is a strong confirmation, but also a motivation for the Macedonian Government and the MP majority to continue at this pace,” said Miloshoski.

“As a country, we welcome the European Commission’s assessment, as well as their plan for reallocating funds from the Growth Plan, whereby a certain portion of funds would be taken away from those countries that have achieved weaker reforms and allocated to Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro as countries that are frontrunners in implementing reforms in line with the Reform Agenda,” noted MP Miloshoski.
