There are no bomb threats in any shopping mall in Skopje, the Macedonian Ministry of Interior (MoI) said following the evacuation of the East Gate Mall Sunday afternoon.
“The Skopje Interior Department has not received any reports of explosive devices in any of the shopping malls,” the Ministry of Interior said in a press release Monday.
The East Gate Mall shopping mall was briefly evacuated. According to the mall’s management, the evacuation occurred after a fire alarm was activated at one of the tenants of the business premises.
According to information, visitors were asked to leave the building peacefully, in line with security protocols.
