The State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) unanimously decided to file a complaint with the Public Prosecutor’s Office against former members of the TPP NegotinoManagement and Supervisory Board.

The SCPC received a complaint from an unknown complainant against individuals from the former Management Board of AD TPP Negotino. The individuals reported were members of the former Management Board of AD, also assigned to director positions in organizational units in TPP Negotino. After the status change and the merger of AD TPP Negotino with AD ESM-Skopje, after the termination of their functions as members of the Management Board, these individuals remained in employment with AD, which was illegal, since employment in state-owned companies is only via public ad.

The justification for such employment was the management contracts, based on which they were allowed to choose whether to stay in AD or return to their old jobs from where they came before the election. Additionally, in the report, the individuals received funds in the form of an allowance based on management contracts in the amount of 12 full salaries, which represent additional income to the regular salary they received, which means that as employees of AD they received a regular monthly salary and plus one salary in accordance with the management contracts.

“After reviewing the documentation, the SCPC determined that the allegations are confirmed and in line with the law on prevention of corruption and conflict of interest, it will initiate proceedings against the individuals reported to the competent authority,” said SCPC member ServetDemiri.
