Gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 4.3% in the second quarter (Q2) of 2026 compared to the second quarter of 2025, said the State Statistics Office (SSO) on Thursday.
In Q2 2026, higher growth was recorded in the Construction sector by 21.9 percent and by 5.1 percent in the sectors Arts, entertainment and recreation; Other service activities; Activities of households as employers; Activities of households that produce various goods and perform various services for their own needs.
Final consumption in Q2 2026 grew nominally by 7.0 percent, and its share in the structure of gross domestic product is 83.2 percent.
Gross investment in Q2 2026 nominally increased by 14.5 percent, as a result of the increase in gross investment in fixed assets.
According to seasonally and calendar-adjusted data, the growth rate of gross domestic product (GDP) in Q2 2026, compared to Q2 2025, is 4.0 percent.
