On behalf of the Government, we paid tribute today to the eternal passing of the great Macedonian hero Goce Delchev, and in this way we want to show that as a Government, we will do everything to ensure that his ideals, his fight for an independent Macedonia, for the Macedonian people, and for all citizens living in Macedonia remain eternal, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said on the marking the 123rd anniversary of the death of the great Macedonian revolutionary Goce Delchev.
“Let us all remember his work and in a way that it would be passed on to the generations that come after us, because the values that our great Goce Delchev believed in, unfortunately, today some member states of the European Union still do not respect. Not only do they not respect them, but they also do not implement them,” noted Mickoski.
The PM pointed out that Delchev was ahead of his time and as such left an indelible mark on Macedonian history and Macedonian identity.
“May his memory be eternal and every year on this day, and may future governments continue this tradition and commemorate the eternal memory of the character and work of Goce Delchev,” PM Mickoski underlined.
