I call on citizens to spend their holidays in the Macedonian mountains and lakes, as well as in the Macedonian villages, because we have beautiful places in Macedonia, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said in response to the wait at the borders after the EU introduced the system for entry and exit (EES) from the Schengen zone.
PM Mickoski said he did not want to comment too much on it when asked if the country would ask the EU to postpone the implementation of the system this summer.
“I would not comment too much on that, on that way of behaving. We have certain discussions within the European Union on how to overcome that, but if summer vacations are a problem, we have beautiful lakes, we have beautiful mountains, we have beautiful places in Macedonia. I call on Macedonian citizens to spend their summer vacations on Macedonian mountains and by our lakes lakes, to visit our Macedonian villages, because we have a beautiful country and we should take care of it ourselves because we don’t have a spare home,” said PM Mickoski.
