Macedonian Minister of Digital Transformation Stefan Andonovski expects Macedonia to be among the first countries to gain access to roaming without additional charges across the European Union. He is expecting positive news at the EU-Western Balkans Summit, which will take place in early June in Podgorica.
Minister Andonovski believes that it will be among the first countries with which the European Union will sign an agreement for the so-called Roam Like Home services.
“There is an announcement of the start of negotiations, which is a positive signal. The negotiations will concern each country individually and the change is that a special agreement similar to the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the European Union will be signed with each of the candidate countries. It is positive that we meet the conditions by adopting the Law on Electronic Communications and thus we are, let’s say, in the group that will be the first to start negotiations,” said Andonovski at the Third Regional Conference of Accountants and Certified Public Accountants.
