Macedonia is in a phase of intensified economic development, with a new wave of foreign investments and significant results in agriculture, said Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski Saturday. According to the PM, the implementation or final agreement of several strategic projects is underway, while agriculture is once again becoming a strong driver of the economy.
PM Mickoski notes that the Government is actively working to attract new investors, and most of the projects are already in the final phase.
“Currently, approximately 17 projects are in the initial phase of implementation, or in the phase of signing state aid agreements and the like, with a total value of over EUR 650 million, which should provide approximately between 4,500-5,000 new direct jobs, and I expect this year that most of these projects will be launched with production, which will also add value to the total gross domestic product of the country, and the higher it is, the more money we will have to realize this type of capital investment,” Prime Minister Mickoski after inspecting the construction of the Gostivar-Bukojchani motorway (Corridor VIII).
