The Macedonian Government at its Sunday session decided to extend the measure to reduce excise taxes on oil derivatives, effective until June 15. Following talks with the main domestic fuel supplier OKTA, an additional discount of MKD 2 per liter has also been secured, effective from Monday, June 1.
“With these measures and according to our calculations, we expect the price of diesel fuel to decrease by MKD 6.5 per liter, while the price of gasoline will be reduced by MKD 1.5 per liter.
This represents concrete and direct support for citizens, the transport sector, farmers and the economy as a whole. The reduction in fuel prices will contribute to reducing living and working costs, as well as maintaining price stability in conditions of global economic challenges,” reads the government press release.
