The security situation in the country is stable, said Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski in Shtip on Thursday.
“The security situation in the country is stable and peaceful. Up to this point, there is no risk to the security situation in the country. We had a Security Council, which was organized by the president based on the information we received from the services, but also from the relevant ministries, here I am primarily thinking of the ministries of defense and interior, and based on that data at this point I can say that the security situation is stable. Perhaps over time we will have certain economic challenges, I am more thinking here of the price of energy sources of oil and gas, more of oil because we do not have too much dependence on gas. The heating season is coming to an end, so from that aspect, and the Macedonian industry has not developed a fairly large gas network, but we will have certain pressures from the oil industry. The price will have to increase, but here too we are considering with the Ministry of Finance to reduce the excise duty, the taxes, to see what our options are to reduce the impact on the standard of living of citizens,” said PM Mickoski.
