Construction projects such as the Skopje-Blace motorway are the result of the government’s clear plan and vision for the country’s development, Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski said at Wednesday’s cornerstone-laying ceremony for a new 10.5-kilometer highway section connecting to an existing 1.5-kilometer stretch near the Blace border crossing.

“When this Government was formed in 2024, Prime Minister Mickoski’s clear vision and policy was that Macedonia should become a crossroads of the Balkans, to take advantage of our unique position where two pan-European corridors – Corridor VIII and Corridor X. Today we are launching such a project that goes in that direction and only with such a clear policy and clear vision can this happen. Because each Government has different priorities, the priority of this Government is progress, cooperation, economic development and thus the development of the country and the entire region,” noted Deputy PM Nikoloski.
