All mosquito repellents are safe for humans and recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). There are no products that are used that are unsafe and dangerous to human health, Macedonian Health Minister Sasho Klekovski said at a press conference Friday.
Unfortunately, the minister pointed out, due to the reactions of citizens, spraying is often not done at the optimal time.
Regarding the comments that not enough spraying has been done, he said that comparing the spraying so far shows that most of the necessary work has been done.
Nikolina Sokolovska from the Public Health Center says that the mosquito repellent is guaranteed, of high quality, it is German-made and there are no doubts.
“The product is of high quality, the method of dissolution and the dosage are recommended according to the prospectus, so we have no doubts on that front. So, we just need to pay more attention to water surfaces to prevent mosquitoes from flying away. That is the most important thing,” added Sokolovska.
