The Handball Federation of Macedonia (HFM) has submitted an application for the organization of the U21 Men’s World Championship set to be held in 2027.
The host of this World Championship would be our capital Skopje, and the HFM management’s offer included four halls.
According to information, the IHF was already in control of them. These are the following halls: “Jane Sandanski”, “Boris Trajkovski”, “Rasadnik” and the Kale grand hall.
The “Rasadnik” hall is in the final phase of construction, while the Kale hall is under lock and key because it was declared unsafe for playing by the IHF.
According to the announcements, it should be renovated by the start of the championship, so it will be put into use for such a large competition.
At the start of March, the IHF will notify the HFM whether they meet the requirements to host a major youth competition.
